NEXTPLAY RAISES $542 FOR RIGHT TO PLAY

On July 1, NextPlay launched a campaign supporting Right to Play, with the goal of leveling the playing field for young athletes. Right to Play, an international, non-profit organization committed to the empowerment of vulnerable children through sport, aligns strongly with NextPlay’s mission to create opportunities for and support the continuous development of student-athletes.

The conclusion of the campaign signaled the beginning of something bigger, with $542 raised through 542 new followers on NextPlay’s Instagram page. Each new follower equated to a one-dollar donation to Right to Play of up to $1,000.

The campaign, deemed successful in promoting awareness of equal opportunities, featured involvement and engagement from student-athletes and supporters all over the country. The campaign saw a rise in engagement from student-athletes, administrators, and alumni.

About Right to Play

Right to Play aims to protect, educate, and empower children to rise above adversity through play. After being founded in 2000 and focusing on humanitarian rights in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, Right to Play expanded and now helps 500,000 children level the playing field through sport and play each week. Each year, 2.3 million children benefit from Right to Play’s efforts. Through quality education, gender equality, health and well-being, child protection, and peaceful communities, Right to Play vies to create a world of uprisers.
